YogiTree began the way a lot of good ideas do — with two childhood friends, a shared love for Goa, and years of coming back to the same quiet stretch of North Goa long before it was anyone's idea of a “destination.”

Both had travelled to Goa together for years, always drawn past the busier southern beaches to the quieter north — Morjim, Ashwem, the slower pace, the sense of space. Somewhere along the way, the trips stopped feeling like enough. In 2023, that shared love for the place turned into something they built together: YogiTree Beach Resort & Cafe, opened in Morjim with a simple idea at its core — comfortable, welcoming rooms where guests could feel the beauty of Goa the way the two of them always had, with the warmth and personal touch of a genuinely homegrown hospitality brand, not a chain.

The name YogiTree captures what they were going for from day one: a place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the simple pleasures of travel, nature and good hospitality.

In 2024, the family grew. Aqua Wave by YogiTree opened in Ashwem, a short stretch up the coast, built on the same instinct — great locations, comfortable stays, and hospitality that feels personal.

Today YogiTree runs two budget-boutique properties along Goa's quiet north coast, with plans to grow further — always staying close to how it started: two friends, a love for this coastline, and a belief that good hospitality doesn't need to be complicated to be genuine.
